Leo Islo

Leo Islo was my electronic/pop project for over a decade. From 2013 to 2024 I released a bunch of songs: singles, EPs, collaborations and remixes with people from all over the world.

I wanted to make music equally at home on the club dance floor or on a laid-back playlist, aiming to blur the line between Future House, Indietronica, Pop and Chillwave.

I was born in Santiago, Chile; the byproduct of two nomadic Americans. Some of my earliest memories are those of traveling the world, and that sense of wanderlust is innate in my approach to music, which is often heavily textured with foley of my environments.

Artists like Jai Paul, TEED, Toro Y Moi, Caribou, Washed Out and Four Tet became early influences on my approach to production, fueling my propensity to create tracks with a diverse cast of instruments with a lo-fi lean.
